What does the calculation include?

Can there be additional costs after buying a property in Spain?
Yes. In addition to the usual costs associated with the purchase, there may be additional costs depending on the situation of the property. For example, if water or electricity services are not connected, the corresponding connection fees will need to be paid and, in some cases, new meters may need to be installed. Likewise, if the owners’ association has not yet been established, there may be additional costs related to setting it up.
Common additional costs:
- Utility connections and contract management: from €300
- Connection to the electricity network and meter installation: from €250
- Connection to the water network and meter installation: from €260
- Initial contribution to the owners’ association: from €200
These amounts are indicative and may vary depending on the property, residential development and available communal facilities (swimming pool, gym, green areas, etc.).
